Konica Minolta Announces Scholarship Fund Recipient with

Ramsey, New Jersey, Oct. 18, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA, Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leader in industrial and commercial printing and packaging solutions, today announced Megan Brown , senior at Clemson University in Graphic Communications, as the recipient of the 2022-2023 scholarship. This award is an example of Konica Minolta’s continued commitment to investing in the education of future industry workers through the establishment of a $50,000 scholarship fund with the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF), which provides educational assistance to graphic communication students studying in the United States.

Brown’s passion for the printing and graphic design industry began when she was in college and taking her first course in graphic communications at her local community’s career center. When she learned that Clemson was one of the top universities in the nation for graphic communications, she knew that was where she wanted to graduate.

In addition to Clemson’s comprehensive curriculum, Brown has developed valuable knowledge and hands-on expertise working in its state-of-the-art printing and packaging equipment labs, serving as a teaching assistant for the Clemson’s specialty printing and packaging class, participating in multiple campuses and community organizations, and being one of six senior graduates selected to attend Labelexpo Americas in Chicago last month.

“Megan has certainly distinguished herself on campus and in her community with her impressive accomplishments, contributions and dedication to the printing industry,” said Dino Pagliarello, Senior Vice President, Product Management and Planning. “As a company committed to training the next generation of print and graphic communications workers, all of us at Konica Minolta are extremely proud to support his educational journey and career aspirations with this scholarship and our partnership with the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation.”

Brown was also elected president of the Gamma Epsilon Tau chapter of Clemson, the on-campus graphic communications fraternity, which gave her a platform to inspire talented lower-class students with a better understanding of the skills of industry and career opportunities while actively pursuing their own. “Over the past few years, I’ve had some amazing experiences and opportunities that I don’t think I’ve had anywhere else,” Brown said. “Winning this scholarship has meant the world to me and my family. It is truly a blessing that I did not expect.

“Thank you very much to Konica Minolta for this generous donation to the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation,” said Jeffrey White, Director of Development at PGSF. “With ever-increasing school costs, this endowment will help us ease the cost burden of higher education and ensure our industry is able to attract the best and brightest talent.”
