Oil-Dri Announces Key Executive Promotions


CHICAGO, May 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Oil-Dri Corporation of America (NYSE: ODC) has announced three key senior leadership promotions within the company. Effective today, Aaron Christiansen has been named Vice President of Operations, Wade Robey Vice President of Agriculture and Marketing for Amlan, and Yasmith Bernal Vice President, Crop and Horticulture and Site Manager of the innovation center.

In his new role as Vice President of Operations, Aaron Christiansen will oversee all mining, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, supply, customer service and planning. Mr. Christiansen has been with the company since 2015. He most recently served as Vice President of Manufacturing at Oil-Dri and has built a strong track record of increasing productivity and quality while reducing waste. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Christiansen spent 10 years at Unilever where he held several leadership positions in manufacturing and engineering and gained valuable experience in management and operations. Mr. Christiansen began his career at Procter & Gamble as an engineer after earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

As Amlan’s vice president of agriculture and marketing, Wade Robey will oversee the company’s research and development and agricultural products business. He will retain his current responsibilities leading Amlan’s global marketing team, animal health research and development and Oil-Dri’s regulatory department. Dr Robey joined the company in 2021 as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Amlan International and brings decades of experience working in a range of agricultural industries such as animal nutrition, biotechnology , food, precision agriculture and more. Prior to joining Oil-Dri, he was Executive Director of Autonomous Solutions for Raven Industries and held numerous leadership positions at companies including Poet, Syngenta, Cargill and Novus. Dr. Robey graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science and a master’s degree in avian physiology. He obtained a doctorate. in animal nutrition from Virginia Tech.

As Vice President, Crop and Horticulture and Innovation Center Site Manager, Yasmith Bernal will continue to manage the Agricultural and Horticultural Products business and assume responsibility for managing research and development activities for bedding for cats, industrial, sports, agricultural and fluid purification products. . She will report to Wade Robey. Ms. Bernal has been with the Company since 2006, both in sales management and scientific research. Most recently, as General Manager of Agricultural and Horticultural Products, she was instrumental in the significant growth of the company’s agricultural transportation product sales during her tenure. Previously, Ms. Bernal worked as an Applications Scientist with Oil-Dri’s multidisciplinary team responsible for advancing our Verge® agricultural transportation product to commercialization. She has also held scientific research associate positions at Nanosphere and Hologic, formerly Gen-Probe. Ms. Bernal graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry and Biology. She received her master’s degree in physical sciences from the National University.
