SCREEN’s R&D group develops the SC+ Chroma package, a complete solution for its Truepress Jet520HD series

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois—SCREEN announces the launch of the SC+ Chroma Pack for the Truepress Jet520HD series. The complete solution features the new SC+ ink, an improved version of the current SC ink in the series. Along with new ink, the package includes professional services and upgraded hardware and software. The SC+ Chroma package has been installed at the company’s Inkjet Innovation Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and will be available on new presses as well as as part of an upgrade solution for existing owners of Truepress Jet520HD series printers.

SCREEN announced the first version of SC ink at the drupa international trade show in 2016. Designed to be printed on standard coated and uncoated papers, the ink met printers’ needs for fast-drying ink without requiring paper pretreatment. The demand for such capabilities has increased dramatically since print markets continue to face ongoing challenges ranging from paper shortages to price increases. SC and SC+ inks provide flexibility when printers need to replace paper at the last minute.

The SC+ Chroma Pack allows printers to tailor their products to meet each customer’s specific objectives, whether it’s reducing costs through ink savings or enhancing color to make it more vibrant while achieving accurate reproduction of spot colors on press. With SC+ ink’s unique formulation and extended color gamut, printers can achieve a higher percentage of standard color matching systems with improved fidelity. The wrap can match more than 96 percent of spot colors found in the industry solid coat reference book at a Delta E of three or less.

Essential tools and training come with the SC+ Chroma package so printers can achieve excellence while using SCREEN’s Truepress Jet520HD series presses.
