TE Connectivity Recognized for Sustainable Technology Innovations in Energy, Industry and Transportation

SCHAFFHOUSE, Swiss, September 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — TE Connectivity, a global leader in connectors and sensors, has won a 2022/23 GreenTech Award from the Swiss Institute for Quality Testing (SIQT) for the breadth of its recent innovations in sustainable technology.

The award was given to SwissLuxembourg-based companies that have distinguished themselves in one of the eight sustainable development segments defined by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, a global intergovernmental forum created to develop policy standards aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth. SIQT, the awarding body, is an independent market research institute based in Zürich which compares companies to others in their industries.

TE was recognized for the number of patents it has received, as well as the influence of its advances on other innovations, in three categories: energy, production of climate-friendly goods and transportation. TE engineers continue to advance technology that enables renewable energy sources, safer and more efficient factories, and electric and automated vehicles.

SIQT scored each company based on the number of patents from patent offices around the world from 2020 to 2021, as well as all citations of its patents. Companies that scored above average in at least one of the technology areas were awarded as winners of the GreenTech Award 2022/23.
