The Future of Networking – Predictions from a Networking Apps Entrepreneur

One of the biggest challenges that both established entrepreneurs and new entrepreneurs face is connecting with the right people and creating a real business network that will lead to mutually beneficial growth and progress. The saying applies to all industries worldwide: “It’s not always what you know, but who you know.” Networking is a sharing process; an invaluable opportunity to connect, build and amplify. By expanding your network, you can increase awareness of your project/brand, increase your profits, secure your investments and much more.

As technology becomes more integrated and central to our daily interactions, in the very near future, networking will look very different.

Networking in the Metaverse

The Metaverse is here for the long haul. A quick Google search brings up over a billion results. Major organizations, such as JP Morgan, HSBC, American Express and Qualcomm, are all jumping on the metaverse rocket with no signs of slowing down. So what is it about the Metaverse that makes it so appealing to the world? The simple explanation is this: humans crave connection and new technologies. Combine the two and you have a simulated digital environment that uses augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and blockchain, along with concepts from social media, to create spaces for rich user interaction that mimics the world real.

My prediction is that networking in the metaverse is going to become the norm in all industries around the world. Despite our attraction to the metaverse, there is something unique about the bonds built through personal interaction. As we become more and more immersed in technology-enabled interaction, those moments of personal interaction will grow in value.

Different channels to network

For the past 20 years, the most viable option for professional networking has been LinkedIn. There’s no doubt that it’s been a valuable resource for entrepreneurs and businesses, but more and more organizations are looking for other, more efficient and purpose-driven ways to bring people together to connect. It’s not just about networking — it’s about networking with the right people, at the right time, in the right way. Network and Chill’s mission is to provide an unparalleled opportunity for innovative and driven individuals from diverse industries to come together in a social, relaxing and exclusive environment. To further facilitate and personalize the member experience, N&C has also developed a member-exclusive entrepreneurial mobile app to allow immediate access to invaluable information and resources to support aspiring professionals and startups. They also provide opportunities for founders to find new potential customers, partners, and investors, and to get feedback on new ideas.

My prediction is that as the world begins to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, after a period of yearning for personal interaction, networking in all its forms will experience a heightened boom – bigger than the 21st century n never saw.

Increase in international travel to connect

Networking is heading for both local and global expansion. As mentioned earlier, we are all desperate to connect in person after nearly three years of confinement and social distancing.

My prediction is that more and more people will travel abroad to meet in person and connect for business meetings, to share ideas and close deals. Networking and having a space (virtual and otherwise) to do so is imperative, especially as we see the world innovating at an exponential rate. Having a one-stop-shop to connect startups with like-minded brands, founders, marketing professionals and businesses is essential, offering advice and connections to help guide and support individuals in their entrepreneurial journey. We are always learning and our community is learning with us.

Many entrepreneurs have an idea, but may not have the funding, the mentor, or the contact to bring the idea to fruition. Someone who doesn’t have access to the right resources or the right connections might have an idea that can change the lives of millions of people. We see the importance of bridging the gap between a simple idea and a successful project/business/product, and that’s where networking comes in.
